Forbo FloorCare method for Linoleum floors

Our linoleum floors are easy to clean and maintain thanks to their durable Topshield finish. The Forbo FloorCare system for linoleum supports two different methods, which are determinded by the availability of dedicated tools: the Spray method is the most effective and economical method and is performed by using a one-disk or rotary machine. For situations where a rotary machine is not available or practical, the manual Monel method can be applied.

The Spray method

Mechanical floor care, using a rotary machine
In most situations the Spray-method is the best option. Spray-cleaning will keep the floor in optimal condition and inhibit the adhesion of dirt. The Spray-method provides a dry and hygienic environment.

Cleaning after installation

• Clean the floor with cleaner and a mop
• Pick up dirty water with a wiper and mop or a water vac
• Rinse with clean water and a mop
• Allow the floor to dry

When intensive traffic is expected:
• Apply a full spray-film with an applicator
• Buf the spray-film with a rotary machine and a buffing pad

Regular cleaning

• Wipe with dust mop and dust cloth, or vacuum the floor

• Remove spots with a damp mop

Periodic cleaning

Occasional maintenance

The Monel method

Manual Forbo floor care, using basic floor care tools
The Monel method (or ‘soap film method’) is the best option when a rotary machine is not available or not practical. A water-soluble Monel film prevents stubborn dirt from adhering to the flooring surface. Monel provides a satin gloss and an improved slip resistance.
